Oh, so wow, did you know Daily Kos is actually a C.I.A front ran by a Markos, who is a clandestine domestic spy, so he can crack the whip and make the "progressive" Democrats support the Bilderberger Queen Hillary Clinton? I mean, I have heard of smear jobs in my days, but to suggest Markos is running an exotic form of Interpol in the form of a blog is definitely the pick of the litter. I mean, come the fuck on, at least try and smear Daily Kos with something a little more believable.
Of course, you know who is behind this, ol' Francis Holland via Intel Daily via My Left Wing messageboard. Seems that the success of Daily Kos has finally pushed Francis over the edge and into the realm of tin-foil-laced cloaks and daggers. Get ready for march up the Jacon's Ladder of a mad man, after the fold:

"Markos Moulitsas Zúniga, owner of the DailyKos website, now admits that he spent six months in the employ of the US Central Intelligence Agency in 2001," writes Holland. "In a one-hour interview on June 2, 2006 at the Commonwealth Club, Moulitsas, also known as ‘Kos,’ admitted that he was a CIA employee and would have ‘no problem working for them’ in the present."
"I applied to the CIA and I went all the way to the end, I mean it was to the point where I was going to sign papers to become Clandestine Services," Moulitsas admits in the interview. "And it was at that point that the Howard Dean campaign took off and I had to make a decision whether I was gonna kinda join the Howard Dean campaign, that whole process, or was I was going to become a spy. (Laughter in the audience.) It was going to be a tough decision at first, but then the CIA insisted that if, if I joined that, they’d want me to do the first duty assignment in Washington, DC, and I hate Washington, DC. Six years in Washington, DC [inaudible] that makes the decision a lot easier."
Moulitsas considers the CIA "a very liberal institution," never mind the agency, according to John Stockwell, former CIA Station Chief in Angola (see my John Stockwell: The Third World War video), is responsible for killing more than six million people.
This is a very liberal institution. And in a lot of ways, it really does attract people who want to make a better, you know, want to make the world a better place.... Of course, they’ve got their Dirty Ops and this and that, right but as an institution itself the CIA is really interested in stable world. That’s what they’re interested in. And stable worlds aren’t created by destabilizing regimes and creating wars.... I don’t think it’s a very partisan thing to want a stable world. And even if you’re protecting American interests, I mean that can get ugly at times, but generally speaking I think their hearts in the right place. As an organization their heart is in the right place. I’ve never had any problem with the CIA. I’d have no problem working for them.
Jesus, where to start. First off, the first rule of fight club is that you don't talk about fight club. If you are clandestine, you don't exactly going around showing people the litter in your pockets and asking about sons of widows. Usually the only way a spy even talks is when Cheney outs them for political reasons.
Second, last I checked Markos hasn't been in Washington, D.C. for the last six years, and instead has ran one of the first, and most successful, online web 2.0 political forums. The absurdity that instead he has started Daily Kos as his brass plate firm shows the full extent of Holland's madness brought on by envy. What next, Markos was in NYC directing the planes by remote control? In Holland's world, that is still on the table.
Third, the sheer insanity that Daily Kos is a C.I.A front to control the liberal base shows a complete misunderstanding of the wiki-style of opinion forming in an interactive on-line space. It is by daily debate, diary by diary, comment by comment, that the "progressive" voice on Daily Kos forms, not by the heavy hand of Kos in an Ivory Tower. Kos has no control on the diaries, beyond having admins delete obvious trolling, and it is the open debate that wikis the favorites around here. To say Kos is cracking the whip on the users shows just how asinine Holland's complaint is.
It also shows how Holland believes that the paradigm of master/server known in the right wing of politics is how things work around here. Look, the reasons we get so frustrated with Democrats is because they are individuals, never getting into the lock-step mode of the Republicans. Sure, it pisses me off when certain Democrats go off the reservation, but I would never want them to march to orders from a single source.
So the article ends with this madness:
Finally, Moulitsas’ relationship with the CIA makes perfect sense, as Daily Kos appears to be yet another political front operation tasked with cracking the whip over "progressive" Democrats and marching them off to support the Bilderberger Queen Hillary Clinton and her probable running mate, Barack Obama, both on record as supporting the neocon plan to reduce the Muslim world to a smoldering wasteland, albeit with stylistic policy changes. It is no secret the CIA has long stage managed the controlled opposition and Moulitsas’ admitted relationship with the agency should be considered a coup de grâce, an effort designed to reduce the "progressive" Democrat opposition to the invasion and occupation of Iraq and the impending attack to be leveled against Iran as little more than an empty and absurd rhetorical slogan.
Obviously this dude has never read the comments in a Hillary diary. From what I have read, and seen, Hillary is not being jammed down our throats, but more being rejected like a baboon heart. And if I had a dime for every time Markos, our grand wizard, demanded obedience to Hillary, I couldn't make bus fare.
But Holland has a new playmate! Kurt Nimmo. Who is Nimmo?
http://www.frontpagemag.com/...
Who exactly is Kurt Nimmo? I have not done an exact count of his articles, but it looks to me like Cockburn runs Nimmo every few days in Counterpunch. Nimmo's credentials for analyzing global political events for Cockburn's webzine? Well, rather than Stanford or Harvard, his intellectual base seems to be a New Mexico Walmart. To be fair, he does seem to have some connection with New Mexico State University, but as a local photographer who occasionally does snapshots for the campus newsletter. His day job, on the other hand, is at the photo development desk at Walmart.
Heh, for more fun, visit his MySpace Page:

Overall, I thought it was funny as shit, especially from the little I have seen of Markos (video and diary wise). But I think the madness of Francis Holland can be summed up in a Gore Vidal quote:
Whenever a friend of mine is successful, a little part of me dies.
And considering Daily Kos's success, that's a lot of dying.
Update: For those who say this doesn't matter, over the mojo wire of IM:
